The Man In The Glass Peter Dale Wimbrow Sr.
When you get what you want in your struggle for self
And the world makes you king for a day
Just go to the mirror and look at yourself
And see what that man has to say.
For it isn’t your father, or mother, or wife
Whose judgment upon you must pass
The fellow whose verdict counts most in your life
Is the one staring back from the glass.
He’s the fellow to please – never mind all the rest
For he’s with you, clear to the end
And you’ve passed your most difficult, dangerous test
If the man in the glass is your friend.
You may fool the whole world down the pathway of years
And get pats on the back as you pass
But your final reward will be heartache and tears
If you’ve cheated the man in the glass.

About Miss. Annah:
I am humbled to have the opportunity to teach at a school like The Exploris School at the beginning of my career! I believe in the work that I am doing here. Exploris is such a special place. Hearing your feedback over the past year has been phenomenal. It is so nice to hear many parents saying that what we are doing is really reaching their kids! How encouraging is that? I'm excited about our unique approach and our new classroom set-ups.
A little about me:
I grew up in Cary, NC. I attended Reedy Creek and Northwoods Elementary, West Cary Middle, and Panther Creek High School. I graduated and went on to North Carolina State University where I earned a Bachelors in Elementary Education with a concentration in STEM Education. I participated heavily in campus organizations and campus ministry.
I had the opportunity to teach in Curitiba, Brazil and student taught at four local Wake County Schools prior to accepting the position at Exploris Elementary. Upper grades is truly where my passion lies and I feel fortunate to work with such a great bunch of students.
Aside for teaching, my greatest passion is coaching swim team, golf and running. I coach at River Rock at Silverton in Cary, NC. This summer was my 8th summer coaching! I play golf a couple times a week, and I am always in need of more golf balls, they tend to find the water more than the green! I also enjoy finding new trails to run and hike.
Above all, I am here to support your student. I will feel my goal has been reached as a teacher if they grow as students and as people this year. I am excited to go on this journey together.
Warmly,
Miss Annah
