We believe that math can make sense for EVERYONE and that there's no such thing as being a "math person." Therefore, we use an instructional approach designed to help students make sense of math, rather than simply memorize the steps needed to solve problems.
Check out this video that helps demonstrate why making sense of mathematics is so important. At Exploris, we work to meet the individual needs of each student. Mathematics work includes small groups, whole group, one-on-one, and partner work. Students work with hands-on materials to strengthen their understandings, rather than just doing worksheets, textbooks, and lectures. Exploris uses the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics curriculum. |

We are currently studying multiplication, including facts and working with multi-digit numbers. Students should be practicing their multiplication facts at home.
KHAN ACADEMY: All 4th grade students have been given a login now for Khan Academy. Students will use their Exploris email logins to access their Khan Academy accounts. If you're child has any issues logging into their accounts please have the student let their math teacher know in class :)
